Vehicle VS. Pedestrian Crash near Shelley

BINGHAM COUNTY, ID. The Idaho State Police is investigating a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash which occurred on October 1,2026, at 07:50 A.M., near the corner of E 1400 N and N 735 E, northwest of Shelley. 

A 44-year-old male, from Shelley, was leading a horse westbound on E 1400 N when he was struck by a 2022 Toyota Camry driven by a 33-year-old male, also from Shelley. The 44-year-old pedestrian was transported via ground ambulance to a nearby hospital. Impairment is not believed to be a factor in this collision.

The roadway was blocked for approximately one hour.

The Idaho State Police was assisted by the Shelley Police Department, Bingham County Sheriff’s Office, and the Shelley-Firth Ambulance.
