ITD begins roadway surface maintenance on Flying Wye.
The Idaho Transportation Department will begin routine roadway surface maintenance Sunday night, Aug. 30, at the Flying Wye interchange, where Interstate 84 and Interstate 184 connect in Boise.
Drivers should expect nighttime lane closures each night through Sept. 12 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
Crews will seal cracks in the bridge decks to prevent water and debris from entering the concrete. This standard preservation work helps protect the roadway and extend the service life of the driving surface.
Motorists should allow extra time, watch for changing traffic patterns and follow posted signs through the work zone. Work is weather-dependent, and the schedule may change. For current traffic impacts, visit 511.idaho.gov or use the Idaho 511 app.
